    A2 Carryhandle 1911 Mount

I have a 30mm ring/base QR system that I would like to try on an A2-style upper which will allow me to use the A2 iron sights simultaneously w/ scope mounted. What is a really good one out there? Thanks.

I'm sorry I have no answer to your question, but I just had to click in... your post title had me confused; I was picturing a 1911 style handgun somehow mounted to the A2 carry handle of an AR...

i think he means 1913 picatinney.... for an A2 carry handle the ARMS #2 std or extended pretty much rule the roost.
      Seriously missing the 80's.....

yeah, my typing got the best of me!could you imagine a 1911 mounted on top of an AR-15 A2? now THAT would be a sight (although not necessarily for sore eyes!)! So, A.R.M.S. would be the one? Any other opinions? I'll have to google one & see what it looks like& how much $$$ is going to "float" mysteriously out of my pocket. Thanks, man.

ARMS #2 isn't a true Picatinny-spec mount - the slots are spaced wrong. The extended appears to be built to spec, but I don't have one to check. I'd definitely go for the extended if I had it to do over.

Leupold also makes a carry handle mount, but I've never seen one. I almost bought a couple of scopes recently mounted on them, but other purchases got in the way...
