Spotting Scope

Anyone have a recommendation on a spotting scope under 1K? It would be used exclusively at the range on a bench. Thanks!

Konus is a good scope that I picked up. Clearly see .22 diameter bullet holes at 100 yards. Check out the Sergeants input on it. http://www.jarheadtop.com/KONUS.htm

The Konus is also quite good. I have one (the 80mm model) as a backup/loaner scope. At 20X, the view is nice and bright. It feels lightweight and fragile to me - not sure how it would hold up to an accidental drop. The eye relief is very short on the Konus, which I've found to be a real issue when wearing my shooting glasses.

I have a Kowa 82 series scope with 27X Long Eye Relief eye piece. I can see 30 cal bullet holes from my M-1A at 300 yards. I won a gold medal one year because of that. I just love that scope. I will choose that scope over any other scope any time.

Thanks for starting this thread. I, too, am in the market for a decent spotting scope which will be reliable out for about 200yds.

Can anyone give me an opinion on the Leupold Sierra 15-45x60mm spotting scope? Academy has it for $325.
