    Broken shell extractor

If and when I do need one I don't think I want to be with out one. Are they all the same from brand to brand?

I know its a relatively cheap tool and should just buy a couple and be done with it, but im just curious if anyone has had one that didn't do the job.

I haven't yet had one break on my ARs. I do have a complete bolt in my range bag in case it does because I've heard of people breaking the bolt, cam and firing pin. Had to replace the retaining pin twice, so have some of those as spare also.

They should all be the same dimensions, thus interchangeable. However, some brands have better steel and/or have been tested/stamped as MPI. These are understood to be a better quality.
