Hi all,
I am a newbie to rifles. I bought the Hi-Point 995TS carbine (9mm) recently, which came with a bullet button that is a little different from the AR-15 type bullet buttons that I've seen. This is a picture of the bullet button that it came with: http://www.parallaxtactical.com/stor...s/IMG_9306.jpg
My questions:
1. I recently unscrewed the outer part of the bullet button, and the mag release mechanism on the inside of the frame came apart. I'm having trouble putting it back together, and haven't been able to find any useful info online. Anyone know where I can find a guide (preferably with pictures)?
2. Does anyone know if an AR-15 type bullet button (such as the one here: http://www.riflegear.com/p-58-bullet-button.aspx OR here: http://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/s...ad.php?t=46802) would fit on the Hi-Point 995TS? If so, I'd be grateful if anyone knows of any useful online resources that could guide me in installing it.
Or, if you're in the SF Bay Area and know how, I'd love to make a trade - I'll buy the bullet button and you install it (and teach me how while doing so) in exchange for 1 or 2 boxes of 9mm, .22, or 12 ga. buck/slug. We could do it at Jackson Arms (where I'll also pay for an hour of range time) or somewhere else in the bay area/peninsula. All of this is negotiable - my main goals are to get the carbine back up and running and also to learn a little more about it.
