Difference between Stag Model 3 and Model 8 ?

I see that Turners sells them both but for a price difference of about $200-300. Looking at the ad and the Stag website I cant see any difference between the two.

Does anyone know which is better or what the difference is ?

Model 3 is DI, Model 8 is piston.

so basically the direct gas is a little more accurate but more expensive and more cleaning involved ?

Can't say about accuracy between each model but the piston (like other piston systems) would run cleaner.

there has not been enough testing really done with the model 8, or any of the new big name pistol builds, to have a consensus regarding their accuracy. A lot of people come up with the conclusion that they will be less accurate, based on this train of logic: It uses a piston. AK's use pistons. AK's are less accurate than DI AR's. Therefore, Piston AR's are less accurate than DI AR's.

I hope they are just as accurate, as I am very fond of piston systems, but who knows at this point.

I spoke to Stag Arms the other day , in regards to the differences, and was told they all shoot accurate, there isn't any difference between their gas guns or their piston gun the model 8, the difference is , the piston/model 8 shoots a whole lot cleaner. I have an L8 waiting to be picked up in a week, I'll let you know, if this topic is still active.
