soft case with backpack straps?

I'm looking for one that will fit my 16" AR15 nicely.

i have one for my airsoft gun...really its that great for real steel...there isnt much padding

I really like mine. I have the Homeland Security Case and the RC Series case. I prefer the homeland for the backpack as well as the actual holster for a pistol, but I wish the 3 outer mag pouches on the RC could be clipped to the homeland case.

I use cases similar to this one. It's a lot less conspicuous and leaves the range guys scratching their heads for a second.

i have the infinity tactical one, and am pretty happy with it. holds both my rifle and shotgun well. price was less than $50.

That seems like a great case, as far as backpack strapped cases go. It seems like it's durable and reliable. And it doesn't really scream "Hey everybody, I have a gun! It's perfectly legal, and I'm not doing anything wrong, but you should ask an officer to hassle me. You know, just in case...".
Although some people might consider the coffin shape a bit morbid

Man, I was actually looking at those the other day and they are freakin SWEET. I am still considering getting one since I was planning on spending 100-150 on a good backpack for camping. $209 would get me one of those spec ops bags.

I've got an Eberlestock Gunslinger and it's awesome. I use it as a range bag and it works great. I even sometimes use it as a regular bag and it works equally well. The gun sheath folds away at the bottom when there's no rifle or shotgun in there. And you can put a laptop or something else if you need to inside. It can fit an 18" 870 shotgun very comfortably as well as an AR with the magazine fixed.

ETA: Not both at the same time.
