best optic for a Socom II?

Non-extended rail. Price under $400. What are my options besides an Eotech?

Bushnell Trophy Dot, Primary Arms Aimpoint clone, probably be able to find a low end Aimpoint around the upper level of that price range. I'd probably go that way or an Eotech.

400 is really close to an Eotech. If you look hard enough you could probably find one new for under 400 actually. I got mine for about 365 new about 6 months ago.

Or, purchase either a used Eotech or Aimpoint. These optics are meant for combat, so generally speaking they are perfectly fine if purchased 2nd hand.

I'd go with a T-1 Micro. The EOtech, and other Aimpoints will not give you as near a good cheek weld as the T-1 will. It sits much lower. Good luck!

go with a 1-4 leupold scope. With that kind of rifle, it would be nice to get some magnification if you want it
