Many Saiga owners have expressed a desire keep their rifle "featureless" without a pistol grip but wish to improve the trigger and use AK-mags. Here's a way to do that.
1. Convert the Saiga back to the AK trigger configuration (a vast improvement) and install an AK stock, thereby meeting 922r compliance with four US parts. Then install a bullet guide and file the mag latch slightly until the Saiga can retain AK mags.
2. For about $6.5o you can buy at Walmart a black, velcro-secured wrist support wrap that in seconds attaches around the neck of the AK stock, providing a secure and natural grasp for your trigger hand. This solution is less ugly than a Kydex grip wrap or Monsterman grip, far less expensive, and far more functional, having the advantage of utilizing your God-given thumb.
The only qualification is your hand size. To test beforehand that this configuration would fit you, grasp the neck of your Saiga's stock (sporter or AK) and see if the tip of your trigger finger reaches the side of the mag release housing. If it does, then this should work for you.
