Featureless build

I got the Hammerhead grip in today and my first featureless build is almost complete. The only thing I'm missing is a muzzle brake, but I'll be picking one up this weekend. It used to be equipped with a Bullet Button, but I got tired of looking at my 30 round magazines collecting dust, so I opted to go the featureless route even if it meant slightly different ergonomics.

It's only been featureless for about 2 hours, but I don't miss the Bullet Button at all.

You wont miss the Bullet button at all. I want to build a full length AR now but after going featureless and ditching the BB I am very hesitant.

Yes.

12276.1. (a) Notwithstanding Section 12276, "assault weapon" shall
also mean any of the following:
(1) A semiautomatic, centerfire rifle that has the capacity to
accept a detachable magazine and any one of the following:
(A) A pistol grip that protrudes conspicuously beneath the action
of the weapon.
(B) A thumbhole stock.
(C) A folding or telescoping stock.
(D) A grenade launcher or flare launcher.
(E) A flash suppressor.
(F) A forward pistol grip.

nicely done .....very clean build....I really like the plug sling setup on the back of the hammerhead. I run the u-15 set up on mine....as a strong suggestion if you dont have already have it, I`d put on an ambi-selector switch...and put on a bravo company gunslinger charging handle. those two pieces will bring out the true performance of your featureless rifle.

Yes. Telescoping stock is one of the prohibited features. Featureless is more than just replacing the pistol grip with a Hammerhead:

1) Rifle has to be "off-list," in other words not on the list of banned manufacturers & models. Check the list on the Calguns AW ID flowchart to be sure. Any reputable CA dealer will stock only off-list rifles.

2) Rifle must be configured according to CA PC 12276.1(a)(1-3) & CA 11 CCR 5469(a). This means: Semiauto, Centerfire w/ Finger-detachable magazine. No magazine lock, no pistol grip, no thumbhole, folding, or telescoping stock, no grenade or flare launcher, no flash suppressor, no forward pistol grip. Overall length 30" or greater.
