Reopening Part Deux! We have a more powerful server, twice the CPU and four times the RAM.
I'm kind of afraid to say this but... let's stress test this thing!
I am putting the Troy Industries rail on my fathers so he can mount a real scope on his. Not sure how it will work.
There is a funny story on his. Before I finally married the love of my life after living together for a decade he asked no matter the price what do I want as a gift. (traditional in my family to give a rifle for a wedding gift to be able to get meat for the family, yes we come from a farm) I said a SOCOM 2. Then a week before we left for my wedding we were at a gun store and he asked to look at one. Then asked to look at the SOCOM 16 and said he liked that one better due to the stock and rails. Then said what do you think (asking me). I said wow I never thought you would do it, that's the best gift ever. He told me to "fly a kite" (not the actual words) this gun was for him. So I told him I will never work on this gun, ever. Now I am working on it and reminded of that damn day at the gun store but I will still work on it.
Sorry for going on a rant but it still makes me mad.
It's generally the shooter that decides what the rifle is capable of. If you only want a 3MOA rifle, then a red dot will be fine, if you want something better, then practice and eventually decent glass will get you there.
My scout is a 1.75MOA rifle with iron sights and a bench when I do my part and feed it what it likes.
