Weapon Decals?

I'm considering putting my AR-15-style rifle's name (Vera) on the side of the mag well, but I don't want the alteration to be anything close to permanent, just in case it comes out looking horrible.

Anybody ever had a custom-made decal on one of their firearms? Do they stand up to use/abuse/cleaning etc.? Did it actually come out looking decent? Pics?

i have an american flag that i put on the side of the receiver. bought them at sport chalet. the same stickers that athletes use for their football helmets.

The metal on the receivers and oils sometimes makes it hard for the decals to hold onto. If you want, I can make you some.

Just find some good industrial quality vinyl. Any sign supply place should have it and sell it in small quantities. Then take your design to someone who can cut it for you like Don up here^^^. I'm too lazy =)
