    Buying ammo from Midway

Alright, the most people view this so I wanna make sure quickly. I am 19 years old and am buying .22lr ammo so I can take my father's .22 rifle out, am I able to buy .22lr ammo online from Midway? At the bottom of the page it says you need to be 18, but then I went to check out and it said I had to be 21...

Yes, 18 to buy ammo, but i dont know about .22 ?

Just checkout and see if it says you must be 21, its not taking your money if it says so

So if I need to be 21 years old, they will let me know? I already entered my age and it didn't say anything, so I thought I was fine, but then at the bottom of the check out page it says

"You must be at least 21 years of age to purchase certain products such as airguns, ammunition, black powder products, knives or reloading components. Under Federal law 18 U.S.C. 922(D)(1)-(9), persons with a legal disability are also restricted from purchasing certain products."

And then on the product page, it says
      "Attention!
You must be 18 or older to order ammunition. Ammunition must ship UPS ground. Due to Department of Transportation regulations, we cannot accept returns on Ammunition. Make sure to use the correct ammunition in your gun. Check local laws before ordering."

Midway didn't do this. I've heard some do buy Midway is one that doesn't. I'm not trying to get around that, they just had the right ammo for a cheap price. They had me enter my age with a scroll down thing, but no actual verification.

Sounds like you're getting conflicting information from the website. I'm not sure since .22lr is both rifle and pistol ammo.
So um... moon labia or something.

If there is no age verification, go for it.. you are doing nothing illegal. you are buying .22lr for a rifle.

How much .22lr are you buying that it would just be easier for you to pick up a brick at the LGS.

humm, i was wondering the same thing the other day. i was thinking "you only have to be 18 to buy long gun ammo at all the stores around here, but now there are pistols in .223, 7.62x39 and ever .410, i wonder if you now have to be 21 to get those calibers now?"

the answer is i dunno, sorry

When you were a teenager and you visited a porn site and it asked to verify that you were 18 did you say no?

Why on earth would you go to the LGS and pay $25+ for a brick of .22 when you can go to Big 5, Turners, or even Walmart and get it MUCH cheaper? As for ordering from midway, after the shipping charges, do you really save any money over getting it from a local store? If it is some sort of specialty ammo, I could understand it. But if it is just bulk .22 LR, look around in your area. You will likely pay the same total or even a bit less. And not have to wait.

                              I bought 22lr, 9mm, 45 acp, 5.56, 30-30, 30-06, and 12g all online when I was 18-21. Hell, I just bought 500rds of 5.56 online and all I had to do was press a button saying "Yes I am over 21".
