Beautimous sniper rifle at Bolsa Gunsmithing...

Stopped by Bolsa Gunsmithing in Westminster the other day. Just window shopping, if you know what I mean. Anyway, they had this totally custom Remington M700 long action with a very heavy, match PacNor stainless barrel available for sale. Barreled action was mated to a H-S Precision police sniper stock with aluminum bedding block. Very much like a PSS but, on steroids. Rifle also had an H-S Precision bottom metal with detachable mag and an oversize Badger Ordnance style bolt handle. S-W-E-E-T looking rifle! Just looked totally accurate and sub-MOA. Thought it was unusual that it was chambered in .30-06, then this other guy in the shop mentioned that it was formerly used by the Orange County Sheriff's SWAT team until they switched over to .308. Awesome looking rifle.

The shop manager, Jason, was telling me that originally it was listed for twelve hundred something, then it was reduced to nine something, and now they're accepting offers. Could be a sweet deal for someone interested in a quality, proven weapon of that type.

Actually, it looks as if the rifle has seen very little use. If I didn't already have a Rem 700 PSS, I'd jump on it.

sounds like a pretty good deal but I have no interest in a LA 700.

I'd beg to differ. Most police trade in weapons have seen very little use. The exterior may look used but the internals are usually pristine.
