New lower!

My new Rock River Arms lower is arriving today. Cant wait. Still haven't decided if I am going to do a .308 or a .223. I love the .308 round but I have been hearing that guys have had issues (jamming and such) with it. Feedback?

.308 and .223 are different lowers. I think you mean 7.62x39.

Since everyone's .308 is different if you try to mix and match parts there can be issues but if you know what parts go with what then they are reliable.

7.62x39 now is a different bug all together, that has feeding issues due to a tempered case and a straight mag well.

Might wanna check to see if your new lower is a .308 or .223 lower. They're not compatible. You could do 6.8 SPC, 7.62x39, or some other caliber though.

Its a common mistake when first entering AR15 building. Hell I bought a case of 7.62x39 for my new rifle....a Mosin Nagant M91/30 Got a few laughs at the range from my buddies that day. Bought an SKS two days later.

Start researching what you want to build, I hear 7.62x39 is an awesome round.

You can get new 7.62x39 with BCG and mags at DPMS for a really good price with a bull barrel. You may actually make a 7.62x39 relatively accurate.
