I was wondering if anyone knew who has the best deal on Ar-15 rifle kits. I am in the market for 3 kits. Do you guys think that this will be the cheapest method to build up three ar's? I already have the 3 stripped lowers just looking for the cheapest and easiest way to build up 3 KISS rifles.

Del ton -
+1
For a basic, no-frills AR, Del ton is hard to beat. You could also look at Model 1 Sales, but the customer service at Del ton is better. Both are on the higher end of the low tier manufacturers. But both are capable of producing perfectly serviceable rifles. One thing that you might consider; try buying and building one first. Hold off on the other two unless you absolutely need them all at once. That way YOU can decide if Del Ton is good enough for what you want. If you are happy with it, buy two more. If you decide that you want something slightly higher on the food chain, you only end up with one lower tier rifle. Another thing to consider is getting a lower parts kit and the stock of your choice, and then cruising the classified ads here or on Gunbroker to find an upper that suits your needs. Used M16 uppers can normally be had for less than $300. Just something to consider...

Marks Armory had some pretty good deals on RRA and CMMG rifle kitsComment

Cheapest would be something like DelTon or M1S and the like. Then there are DSA and DPMS uppers. I cant really say that I would recommend them; just options. Personally, I'd go with one of the CMMG, Stag or RRA kits for about $500+. Add a mag lock and rear sight to complete it. I believe BCM is still having the sale on their uppers and BCG.Comment

Another vote for del-ton. Chrome lined kits are about $510 plus shipping. Del-ton just sent some lightweight mid length barrels out to be chrome lined and they should have them back in about a month. Those barrels would be great in a kit. MarkComment

DPMS had a $499 "A3 lite" kits recently.

If I found you a link for Top of the Line Tier 1 AR15 kits for $100.00...would you really send them $300.00?
I can poop in a box and guarantee it for life. If you have trouble, I will poop in a box and send you more.
Del-Ton, Stag, CMMG sell kits in the $500 range. There are companies out there selling kits for less then $300. This is the reason I would NEVER buy a used home build AR15 without a complete inspection to include part identification.Comment
