It is not an AR-10 lower, it is a DPMS style .308 lower. Also it is billet rather than forged so it will not be as strong as forged.

and it wil only work with certain uppers, right? Which ones again?

The AERO and NOVESKE lowers work with real Armalite AR-10 uppers, as I recall.

Ok...so I didn't realize there is a difference between an AR-10 lower and a DPMS 308 lower.... Guess I need to research that and get up to speed on the differences. Thanks C.G. for the information..

That is our .308 lower. Mark is a great guy to deal with as well. The lower works with DPMS.

EDIT: They don't make a forging for .308.

If someone is able to give me a quick description of the difference of a DPMS 308 lower and an AR-10 lower....I'd really appreciate it. Took a quick look didn't come up with anything. Will need to spend more time looking. My current AR-15 upper is a DPMS 20". Awesome barrel....dime size groups at 100 yards with 'good' factory ammo. So I wouldn't have an issue with only having DPMS as a supplier of uppers to fit the lower I am looking at.

AR-10 lowers will accept AR10 mags. Where as the DPMS lowers accept LR-308 mags and new 308 P-mags. Im not sure about the LPK as I never built a AR-10 lower.
