WOOHOO!!! My White Oak Armament Upper is on the way!!!

Just ordered my upper to go with my first build and I'm really excited. 20" stainless steel fluted 1:7 bead blasted barrel (their SDM-R upper). They set me up with a 1/4 min. 0.38 hooded and pinned rear sight on detachable carry handle for my flat-top. Picked up my stripped lower yesterday. LPK with 3lb target trigger from Bill Springfield on the way too. Things are coming together. Just had to share!

White Oak Armament makes excellent rifles. I am very satisfied with my service rifle match upper:

I purge the wicked. The impious madness must end. I shall be the instrument of Armageddon. It has gotten out of hand...

          Uppers

          FAT RAT:

John Holliger knows a thing or two about building (and shooting) AR rifles. I had him custom build mine (Shilen barrel, Badger Ord. handguard), my friend bought one of his off the shelf uppers. Both are very accurate, reliable pieces.
There's both White Oak Precision and White Oak Armament dot com's.

Sounds like a nice build, would like to hear a range report.

                Thanks to Calguns Members!

Yeah, alot of thanks goes to the Calguns Community. I started off with aspirations of outright buying a complete rifle but was convinced otherwise, to which I am grateful.

To those of you that are contemplating the start their first build...DO IT!!! This way you will have the rifle YOU want and the way YOU want it or expect it to shoot. All this research and ordering parts has been a world of fun....and it's just beginning!

Oh, and by the way, my build will likely be very similar to the picture in Army GI's post above.

24.0gr RL15, any quality 75/77gr BTHP, LC brass, CCI BR4 or Rem 7-1/2 or Wolf SRM

That should shoot 1MOA or better out of that WOA barrel.

What OAL are you using with the above load?

Magazine length. That's what I use for the short lines: 200 yard standing, 200 yard sitting rapid, 300 yard prone rapid.

You'll be happy with your rifle. My rifle regularly turns in groups like this:

I purge the wicked. The impious madness must end. I shall be the instrument of Armageddon. It has gotten out of hand...
