Question about an old 22 Rifle

I am very sorry if this is the incorrect section for this thread but I have a couple burning questions about my old .22 rifle. The rifle is a Kassnar Imports Model 116 MK 1 and it is a 22 Caliber long rifle. Please also excuse me if I don't use the correct terminology. Anyways, I've been doing a lot of research on this firearm and to put it plainly, is this firearm legal in California?

I'm sure legality questions get asked a lot and it might seem like a dumb question but I really have to know. I did register the firearm at the same time as my Ruger 10/22 with the California Department of Justice.

This is a link to an very old, ended auction but it contains pictures of this rifle: http://www.auctionarms.com/closed/di...mnum=7983866.0

I have the exact same firearm except I do not have a scope. Instead of a scope, mine has some kind of handle. Aside from that everything is exactly the same. I have never shot it because it was in storage for at least 15 years and it was never cleaned after its previous use until yesterday.

I've been looking into the 1989 California Law and the 1994 Federal Law that ended in 2004. Kassnar Imports went out of business in 1989 but another corporation by the name of Armscor makes a similar, if not the same, firearm under the name of M1600.

Any insight anyone can provide on this would be greatly appreciated. I hope I don't have to put it away in storage.

    Thank you all!

It is legal. As a .22LR it isn't scrutinized as closely as a centerfire rifle.

    Enjoy it!

Thank you for your reply Justin. One last question, what about the flash hider and the pistol grip? Should I remove those or are they legal as well?

All legal on a rimfire rifle.
