Do you like the new Remington X-Mark Pro adjustable trigger or not?

Just purchased a Remington 700 SPS-V at the advice from others on this forum, thanks as it looks like a good base for my new project. The Rifle is in jail at the moment but noticed this comes with the X-Mark Pro adjustable trigger.
Tag claims the trigger is set to 3-1/2 Ibs. out of the box and there is a 2-Ib. range of adjustment, has anyone played with this trigger to see if it's worth keeping or just look into upgrading for a better trigger set.
I want to eventually get into long range target shooting, reach out to 1000M once I get a better stock, etc...

Like to hear if anyone has had experience with this factory trigger on the Remington.

    Thanks in advance,
    Eddie

I HATED IT!! Mine would keep going up in weight, even after I put loctite. POS trigger.

I tried mine last night. It seemed ok, but i would like a lighter pull and the adjustment screw on the trigger is annoying when turned out for lowest pull

The Remington X trigger is the same as their regular trigger except that in addition to the goop on the screws, the sear engagement screw (rear of the housing unit) has a touch of loctite on the threads. I was about as PO'd as could be when I bought a VSSF II in 22-250 a while back and couldn't do my usual adjusting - I actually bought an older 700 replacement, then somehow discovered the loctite on the X trigger thread.

I held the X trigger over an open flame for a few seconds and the loctite burned off in a little "poof" of white smoke. Leaves behind just enough friction to keep the screw set once you're done with it. My 700 triggers are about 1lb, 10oz or so according to my trigger pull gauge. Safety works on all, sear holds when I slam the gun about or work the bolt real fast and hard. They're all "off the bench" guns though, no hunting. I know there are others and better out there, I guess I'm happy with what I have so far.

              Thanks for the input.

Thanks to all that replied, I'm going to give it a try and probably continue with my plans to have the trigger upgraded to something that has been proven to be just the ticket for long range shooting.

Thanks again to all that replied, your input does make it easier to make certain decisions.
