    Magpul MOE vs CTR

Wondering if anyone has both or knows the difference between the two?
They look pretty similar, just want to know if the extra cost of the CTR is worth it.
    Thanks

do a search this was just covered and has been before.. google ctr vs moe and you will get a dozen threads from different sites with info. they are close to the same except the ctr has a "friction lock" and a sling attachment.....

Friction lock is worth the extra dough IMO

I found a good thread about this:

            Another question.

They make them in both commercial and milspec. What the difference? Can I use either one? Which one should I get?

                Get milspec.

Yes, the CTR is worth it.

Get the MOE and spend the rest on ammo.

                      Whats the friction lock?

MOE still sounds like the way to go.

                        + 1

I have both CTR, and Mil spec MOE. Both have zero wobble or play

Get the moe if you wanna save money and dont need any additional sling mounting points or the lock

Why are you guys saying mil-spec? Do you know what kind of buffer he has?

I had a CTR, ditched it for an MOE. MOE saved me money and I like it more. It is cheaper and does the same thing. No noticable wiggle and no friction lock to dick around with. Just my experience with both.

CTR locks down better with the friction lock but if you look at my rifles, the ones where a CTR could have been used sport a MOE.
