Is my Flash Hider over tightened?

I know the pic isn't the best. But I may be imagining things but looking at it it seems overtightened by the smallest little bit. What do you think? If it is overtightened. Do you think such a small degree will matter?

Overtightened? Is the crush washer flat? No? then you're good

    Clocked wrong? Yes, slightly.

    Will it matter? Not really.

If you had a comp with directional ports, then yes. However, in your case, it's just fine.

Thanks man. I didn't think such a small degree could matter really but I needed to know for sure.

If it really bugs you, you can get some .003 shim stock, make a washer to install next to the crush washer and it should get you back to where you want it......or if that just sounds silly you could accept the slight imperfection

If it isn't going to effect my performance anything noticeable I don't care.

That's cool...some people are rain-man anal about appearances...bout a year ago had a guy drop off a gun with the same complaint...what I posted is how I fixed his "problem". Told him it didn't matter, he told me it mattered to him...$40 later he was happy as a clam

I am pretty OCD about somethings. I was asking about this because I paid to have my upper put together and if it was going to affect performance I was going to take it back in.

For a few pennies at the hardwhare store a bit of black paint u can get a small ship or washer and fix it. The other trick u cam do is take it apart the coat the threads in locktight tighten it to where u want it and let dry. I have don't this on my comp and it has not come loose. A friend of mine is an aurmor for the army and does that on hundreds of guns

Actually, that's the sort of thing that drives me up the wall. I like having my brake/FH perfectly indexed even though in most cases it probably makes no difference - seems like you sock the thing down and eyeball it, then the next look it doesn't seem quite right. I've resorted to marking the barrel and device at their top center point or using a device that doesn't require indexing. Also use a Miculik that comes with a nut.

Peel washers help, but I like the look of the crush type.
