    upper receiver block needed

Im trying to tighten a barrel up to my receiver and need a receiver block for an AR15 upper.

Id be willing to pay /rent the block from someone near the Concord area, I have a barrel wrench and barrel block but the barrels are tapered and they just wont hold the barrel while Im tightening the nut.

    Thanks

I've got one that's works perfect for an A2 receiver... It's a little iffy on a flat top or 308... If it'll work, I can meet you on Sat...
      oh this...
      It's a Single Cylinder - Single Stroke,
      Internal Combustion Engine,
      with a Free Floating Piston...

With a flat top you do not need anything special other than two blocks of wood and your vise. Just turn the receiver on its side with a block on either side (pic rail and underside.) I cut these blocks out of a marine grade plastic called Starboard and keep along with the rest of my gun tools. You could cut up and old plastic cutting board or something similar as well. While your at it, drill a couple of holes and route a few channels and you have a custom bench block.
