Best AR receiver NOT in 12276?

I am looking for the best AR receiver NOT listed in 12276.

I am going to formulate a letter to the CA DOJ similar to artherd's Ctr-02 letter, referencing a non-listed AR receiver. For the fixed magazine (12276.1), I will be referencing this.

    Thanks for your input.

Looks good. Be sure to keep us posted. I would use a Bushmaster mag not an Armalite mag though.

yeah a good deal, you can get a kit to complete the lower for about 50 bucks.

question is since it's a 100% lower, you would need to get an FFL and register it right? which brings up....what FFL would even approve that?

Since the LRB receiver is not on the list specifically, it is not considered an assault weapon. However, anyone can see that it is the same thing as others in the "AR-15" series just like most if not all lowers, and I doubt that any FFL would be willing to risk ordering a stripped lower (without mag pinned in) even with a DoJ approval letter. But I would love to be proven wrong.

First off yo need to make sure the manufactor is willing to send to a willing FFL, Ive found getting a semi-auto MP5 receiver has been difficult from the the manufactor side.

first you need a list of who is a willing manufactor and then send letter.

Here is a pretty complete list of lowers: http://www.ar15.com/forums/topic.html?b=3&f=12&t=223495

Id get a forged lower without too many markings, this will allow you to mark your AW with whatever you choose. Id even mark it like a class 3 rifle that way if it ws stolen youd get her back if found.

Something I have agreed with all along. But I'm going to at least send a letter. If I can find an FFL willing to do the transfer, then that's a bonus. I have been in contact with the manufacturer, and they said they would send as long as the FFL was willing to order it.

We go through all the trouble sending letters etc etc trying not to get in trouble with the law, but somehow we end up getting punished for something a stupid *** did. There is certainly something wrong with that. Also guess who they come for? Yeah US. Why? Because we are "easy" to take out. You see they rather put innocent law abiding citizens in jail than go after the real criminals. Ok my rant is off... Good luck with you letter. I will be sending one as well...

                          I will vote for a donkey-sex maniac if he's pro-gun.

What manufacturer did you find that would deal with a CA FFL?

Are they willing to pin a 10 round mag to it?
