Huh? It sounds like your receiver extension spacer may not be installed correctly. There is a small round spacer that fits on the end of the receiver extension and the inside back of the stock. Pull it all apart and make sure it is facing the correct direction.

Make sure your receiver extension is fully seated and tightened against the receiver. Slide the stock over the extension, making sure the receiver extension spacer is faced the right direction and inside the stock... push the stock down over the extention, pushing down the takedown pin detent spring, and tighten the screw that holds the buttstock onto the receiver extension.

thats just your spring banging against your buffer tube.wait till you shoot it,listen for that sound.some people are annoyed by it and grease the spring to stop the noise.

An A2 butstock should NOT be loose when installed correctly. The receiver extension (tube) should be on tightly. Then the stock slides over it with the little plastic spacer installed inside. Then the correct size screw goes in tight. Without the spring and buffer, nothing should seem loose or rattle. The buffer may have a weight in it that is making the noise you hear.

That rattle could very well be the spacer banging against the receiver extension. Some manufactures have some very loose fitting spacers.
