    Amd65tech.com riser thumbs up!

Well after taking my TGI AMD-65 out several times, it had become painfully clear that the rifle was a bit challenging to shoot comfortably. I bought it on a whim, and what was obvious from the moment I shouldered it that the wire stock provided little more than a chin weld at best. I figured I could/would get used to it since I liked the rifle overall. Well after a few sessions, my jaw took a pretty good beating. To be honest it was pretty uncomfortable to shoot and I found myself more often than not actually floating my face near, but not on the stock. This tended to result in me making pretty crappy groupings with the rifle and embarrassing myself at the range. I was floating around another forum and someone had mentioned that there was a gentleman in Texas who had just started making a stock attachment/riser to provide a proper and more comfortable cheek weld on the rifle. I just got my in the mail last week and installed it. It is super easy to put on, all of two nuts and bolts, some loctite, and you are good to go. I took it out yesterday. Let me say it is like having a completely different rifle. I actually enjoyed shooting the rifle, and I felt dramatically more competent shooting it. My grouping also improved dramatically. Figured I would write this up for any person who was having the same problem as me, or wanting to improve there AMD-65 in some way. Below are pics of the riser installed on the rifle. Big thumbs up to Gio and his product!
