need advice

my father passed away and left mr this 1884 winchester trap door I know what he paid for it and it was purchased in tombstone az. I wanted to know what it worth if anybody knows it has some markings on it and the sn is 131465 or 485 and says us model 1884 and has a vp some marking and another p along the barrel? thanks any help would be great.

they are all over the place how do I know if its a 600.00 gun or a 2000.00 gun? I got taken on the last gun I sold to a local dealer and Im really pissed about it. but its my fault..
