I was cleaning my AR an noticed that gas tube is dirty next to the front sight post, which indicated that gas escapes there. Is it normal or can it cause problems like FTE/FTF?

A little leakage is normal, the tube just slips in and is held in with a pin, its a tight fit but not airtight. -
