I' ve got two Ar's: One i've completed a while ago and the other I'm in the process of completing. On this latest one, I had an unused carbine buffer lying around that I've placed inside and it has a little rattle to it, kind of like there are loose pieces inside. On my older AR, I've got a pretty solid feeling buffer in it and besides the "sproing" when I shoot it, it makes no other noises. They're both identical basic carbine buffers, gray metal with clear/white plastic. Does anyone else get the rattle? Will it cause me problems? It's probably insignificant but inquiring minds want to know. Hehe.

To elaborate a bit, the weight was added to the buffer to deal with bolt bounce. It acts kind of like a dead blow hammer. It is an improvement over the solid buffer.Comment
