    It is time...

No, not for Calguns lowers. I just talked to Robert at Centermass and we have about two weeks!!!

It is time for me to get my Friends of NRA stuff organized this morning, then this afternoon I head out to the garage and load several hundred .223 rounds for varmint hunting! That is right. I have not shot a single squirrel this year because all I do is work at the gun shop. Today, I load my ammo, and enough of it to not need to for a while. Then the next excuse I get to go shoot squirrels, it is on!

If I am motivated enough, I might finally load the 1000 rounds of 9mm, .40 and .45 ACP while I am at it. Although that might have to wait for a couple more weeks. The nice thing about being a teacher is I am about to have a 9 week vacation in three weeks! Well, at least I will only have one job at that time instead of my current two.

      Did someone say "TWO WEEKS!"

Wes, don't be rolling around in the dead bodies. They just found a domestic cat carrying the Bubonic Plague bacteria up in Hart Flat.

I don't think we will have to worry about that.

Ok, I am done doing FRNA business, I have paid some bills, now I just need to go make a deposit at the bank, mail some letters, and then it is off to the garage!

Nothing finer than reloading your own ammo. I just bought 4000 .40 S&W Bear Creek bullets. I plan on loading a bunch tonight. What press are you using?

Well what do you know? I had just got 100 rounds done when my friends call me and say a buddy from Vegas is in town and they want to go shooting. So I take my 100 rounds and a lot more FMJ and we go test some out. What a way to ruin a day of reloading.

Everything went pretty smooth and we had a good time. Then my carrier key came lose and I had a bolt action AR15.

              Back to the reloading.

Ok, now that the shooting distraction is over, lets finish this reloading.

I ended up loading 800 .223 Speer 50 gr. TNT HPs and 268 .223 Sierra 50 gr. Spitzers. I am now officially ready to get me some squirrels.

Here are the pictures you requested. The first one is my birthday present. My buddy got me an ammo can and said, "To a shooter who puts his ammo in a peanut jar and owns a gun shop. Happy Birthday, Jeremiah". Yes it is true I put ammo in old peanut canisters. As you can see, next to the ammo can is still a peanut jar. I can't help it.

Then there are pictures of me reloading on my Dillion RL550B and then the finished product and yes, more ammo in the peanut jar.

Overall, a very productive and fun Saturday.

where do you go varmint hunting?
A good way to threaten somebody is to light a stick of dynamite. Then you call the guy and hold the burning fuse up to the phone. "Hear that?" you say. "That's dynamite, baby."

Why is it that whenever I read the title, "It is time..." , do I grab my rifle and go for my BOB.
