    STG58C - No Pistol Grip?

I have been searching for this answer- sorry if I missed it.

Is My STG58C legal without the pistol grip? Does the stud count as a pistol grip? When I bought this from SoCalGuns they also had the robinsons arms 223 and it only had the post. I know shoeless ventures has a hook looking thing for ARs. Right now I have a fixed 10rnd mag, but all the hicaps Ive been saving are just waiting. Has anyone done this? or another mod? (besides filler)

The only way to do it on a FAL is the filled thumbhole. Unless you want to make your own MM-style grip out of wood or plastic that covers up the PG stud.

Are you guessing or do you have a written determination from the DOJ that the stud is a pistol grip. If I recall correctly the seized FALs from On Target that were later returned to their owners had no pistol grip and a grip stud. Entreprise sold FALs for years with the stud before they started to fix the mag. Does anyone have any concrete info they can post.

Same as ar oll's. I'd prefer fixing the 10 round mag & using a pistol grip & stripper clip top cover. That keeps the lines of the rifle & reloads are fast. Filled-in butthole stocks look like hell on the fal, at least imo.

Try a search, this has been covered a bit in the last year or less

Pull the piston and turn off the gas and use as a single shot. When in a free state convert back in about ten seconds.

Hanko is right on. The FAL doesn't feel right without a pistol grip and the FAL also has good built in top loading capabilities unlike the AR/AK. All you have to do is rack the charging handle back. Quick mag changes are nice but with the price of .308 nowdays you are better off taking a little extra time to load.
