I shoot 7.62x54 brown bear ammo up there with my mosin-nagant and they don't say anything. But having to use surplus ammo, what else could I do if they told me no-no?

Do outdoor ranges allow Brown Bear FMJ's 7.62x39?

Yugo surplus ammo has shot great for me in the 54R as well as 39.Originally posted by CSACANNONEERAh, the old "form over function" argument. I guess some people would rather be seen with a hot blonde who won't put out than with a "Neil 8" who will make you.

See how confused people get with these terms?I didn't say anything at all about the ammo being "steel cased". I was talking about the difference between steel jacketed and steel cored.
The jacket and the core are parts of the projectile. The case is the part of the cartridge that holds the powder. Steel cartridge cases pose zero fire danger. Steel jacketed and steel cored ammo do pose a fire danger.Last edited by Mssr. Eleganté; 08-27-2010, 9:14 PM.__________________
