Whats the lowest profile HG rail cover??

Currently using Magpul XT rail covers. They just seem to stick out way too much and I want to find the lowest profile rail covers for my rail. I was thinking either the basic ladder rails, KAC rail covers, or Tango Down covers. Any suggestions? Pics would be very helpful in my decision as well

I've seen some good deals on the Troy covers but for some reason I'm not feeling them. Would ladder rails be the lowest profile? Will they still protect my hands?

Is there a picture reference chart that shows the profile of the covers on railed handguards?

Depends on your shooting habits. For me, ladders don't protect enough from heat. I have them on the 12 o' clock rail, if I wrap my thumb up there (sometimes I do) I instantly feel the heat or instantly say ouch.

I suppose I could wear a glove but I just don't like wearing gloves.

Tango downs are really thick FYI. Dont know about their SCAR panels. I have a set of panels with a diamond plating pattern on them that are the slimmest of all the pabels I own including XT, XTMs, tando down, & troy. I forget who makes them... Maybe ergo grip?

Ladder covers or gloves would be your best bet if you've got dainty lady hands :P. Personally, I just grab onto the rails, they don't bother me at all, but I've got a few rifles with XTM panels because I'm a bit of a mall ninja and like the way they look.

I like the XTMs. They are pretty low profile and you can configure them to accomodate the way you grip/accessories
