The m-AR-lin is finished (Fixed. It's not so weird now)

I finally finished it. Well, almost. I still need to mill two 45 degree cuts on the top of the barrel where the tri rail sits. This way it will be level and will not move. I'm also going to purchase a flip up front site soon.




I'm going to get a rail riser or something similar so I can put a reddot in front of the carry handle.


Had to mill out a block to fit in behind the receiver under the rail to fill the space.

Why not just an AR with a 22LR conversion kit then? Now you're practicing with an entire AR, not just the sights. Unless you mean low cost as in low weapon cost as opposed to ammo.

And be stuck using a 10rd mag.

I'd rather purchase a 9mm or .45 upper and have 3 caliber's. I meant the cost of ammo, but yeah this only cost me about $100(for the sights)

Also, it was a fun project and I have the only one in the world.

I almost forgot, my Marlin will out shoot any AR .22 conversion out there. Marlin's are pretty dang accurate.

I figured out why it looked so weird. It was the gap between the rail and the front sight. So I milled out a block to fill it. I used the rear part of the front sight to hold it in. I milled a small weaver rail on the end of the block. I also added one of my "thread protectors". Let me know what you guys think.
