    Magazine catch spring too tight?

I just assembled my stag lower using a RRA 2stage match lpk and the magazine button requires the finger of superman to depress, is this normal or even considered an upgrade or is there something wrong here? Other ARs I've dealt with required a much lighter amount of pressure, like less than half that mine requires. The first thing that came to mind is to cut it... but for now I'll leave it.

This doesn't sound normal. However, check to make sure everything is assembled correctly. If so cut a little bit off the spring.

I am no smith but I think you tightened the mag catch too tight.

Push the catch out then loosen it a turn or two. I'll bet you tightenened it all the way
