    ar15 help!

    hey guys...it was my second time shooting the ar15 today at the range....im using the same ammo i used before....american eagle 55gr...5.56.....i noticed today that the bolt was not locking back after the last round was shot...any ideas?....it worked fine the first time i shot it....thx for the help!

    Magazines I'd suspect. Did you use the same mags both times?

      Did you build the lower? Lube the bolt catch. Try different mag.

        Spray your magazine down with some good old carburator cleaner, then hand cycle the empty mag and see if the bolt stays open. If not, take the upper off and move your bolt catch up and down to make sure it's not hanging up on anything, if it's free, lube it up with some lithium grease and try again. If you still have the problem, then sell me the gun for $50 .

          did what you guys said....found out it was a faulty mag, follower was hanging up....i have 3 pmags with 10rd blocks in them...only one mag was doing it.....which was the only mag that i took to the range today...thanks for the great info guys.....

          btw, anyone else have this problem with pmags?...if so, are there others that you may suggest? tapco, GI, etc?

            PMags and GI mags seem to work the best for me. I'm assuming your spring is the problem and I don't think that's Magpul's fault because I don't think they designed it to hold more than 10.
