NEED HELP!!!

Man guys, i gotta tell you, I really fubared it this time...


I didn't listen to you guys and i went out and got an adam arms piston kit for my stag 2ht.


F@#$@$@R$@!

i got it almost all the way installed and discovered that it WONT fit with the handguard on the 2ht.

I dont have the right allen wrench to take the handguard off either.
It's been really pissing me off and now i'm just off the walls.
I've had some time to calm down and beg for your guys help.

What i'm thinking of doing, is just putting everything back together and never touching it again.

only problem is theres a bushing inside where my gas rod comes it, you have to tap it in there.
and now i can't get it out.

I need some ideas or help!

anyone in the near by area to lake view terrace i would gladly pay you to come out and fix it!!!
it's just so frustrating i can't deal with it and i literally don't know what to do.
right now it's like $1000 down the drain.

I really need someones help!

please keep the burning to a minimum.

Go to a local auto parts store and get the right size allen key, just an idea if you want to keep it. Then surf CG classifieds for new handguards and sell old ones.

+1 on what Bax says, Or find a tap close to the ID of the bushing and thread it and use a screw and slide hammer to remove the bushing

I actually had the exact same idea when i took a step back and cleared my head!
it's now full installed minus the rail.


except i went to lowes.

Your gas tube will fit through the bushing. There is no need to remove it. It is a tight fit, put some oil on the tip of the tube and twist and push at the same time. Just don't bend the gas tube. I still have a bushing in one of my rifles and it works fine. If you want it to fit easier you can ream the bushing out with a slightly larger than I.D. drill bit.

this is a kit that sells the Star C with the piston kit, even though they aren't compatible, i emailed them about it and will let you know what i find.

Explains it all

"he star C on your stag rifle might be an older model. Im guessing that the
cut under the top rail is square on yours. All our new models have a round
cut under the top rail to fit the gas piston system. The star C is for
carbine length gas systems and the star M is for mid length gas systems.
The star C is the correct rail for your rifle (if it is carbine length) to
house the Adams Arms gas piston system however your stag might have came
with the older model. How long ago did you get your stag?"

Also maybe contact a local smith like AR15 barrels (hates pistons) or Chris at Addax and see if their more equipped shops will help you.

I'll keep addax in mind when I need smithing done!

I contacted Samsun mfg. They said i cam ship my handguard there and they'll drill it out for free!
I just gotta pay shipping, so that's what I'm gonna do!

If you have good dremeling skill, it can be done. I've dremel my Stag Star-C rail to fit other applications.

I sent off the top of my rail to samson.
