Where to buy a Saiga rifle (besides Ammo Bros) + caliber question

I want to buy a Saiga rifle. The only place I've found them is at Ammo Bros. I there any other store around the San Fernando Valley that sells them? Metroshot only has the 20" 7.62
If not, I guess I'll have to make the 2 120 mile/round trips....
    Thanks.

Order online. Classic Arms has them for a really good price, and the shipping is dirt cheap. I got mine there and I am more than pleased with it.

I called classicarms last week. They told me that they will ship it to a local dealer. I called the closest dealer to me (turners / andrews). They said for $100 including dros. I guess that still is a pretty good deal - $250+$100 is still cheaper than Metroshot - $370+tas+dros. Will other dealers charge less than Turners?

A related question, would you recommed me to buy the .223 or the 7.62 model? I am leaning toward the .223 because I am planning on building an AR in .223 and think it would be convenient to use the same ammo for 2 rifles. On the other hand, each round has its +es and -es. What do you guys think?
            Thank you.

Fort Courage Armory in Simi Valley may be getting a few in. No word yet on caliber or barrel length yet.

Got my .223 saiga from lanworld inc, about 270 shipped, got it on the dros with a bunch of other stuff and it was less than 300 OTD.

Did you tell Turner's it was a saiga you were going to have shipped to them? Knowing them them probably won't accept it. Mark

                      Bump.
Where should I get the rifle shipped to?
(A place that will charge me less than $100)
                      Thanks.

                        FFL in Simi Valley

Try Mad-Ox Firearms (Simi Valley) at the link at the top of this page. James has done transfers for me and my friends. His transfer fee is reasonable and he's available (by appointment) after normal business hours.

I've already spoken to him about getting me a Saige 308.

+1 on that. They told me that it was an assault weapon and that no matter what anyone else says about it I will be in violation of the law for possessing one.

                            Ok, I'll try that.
Metroshot has a few of the 20" 7.62 's. Any downside to those?
Will I have better accuracy with the 20" barrel?
