Ar in 308 stock

So as I understand the extension tube can be a standard one like on any other AR, but the buffer and spring are different, is this correct?

I see there is a DPMS kit for the 308 that includes the stock, tube, buffer, and spring for about $65. I would like to use a Magpul PRS so what is my best way to buy the tube and buffer and spring and where?

So that adds up to about $29 plus a tube for $30 = $59

Am I better off just buying the kit for just about $10 more

and tossing that stock in the parts box and adding my Magpul? Sounds like it might be as having an extra stock works out to $10.

I would say you are better off buying the kit, You can always sell the new A2 stock here for $25 give or take. Or keep it in yours parts box as you stated

In case you don't already have the stock, I picked up a Magpul GenII AR 10 Buttstock from Elite Tactical Componets about 2 weeks ago for $199.00 and picked up the buffer tube, buffer and a Wolf spring from Midway.

Thanks to all for your replies. I'm going to do what shotcaller6 did for the buttstock and then just get the kit from Brownells and have and extra buttstock for the $10 difference
