I did a Google search and I came across a Calguns thread and LCT said they are done selling to calgunners I don't know if it was true or the circumstances heres the link if your interested. Anyways as far as I know they only make them for the Scar and the Sig 556 only. Riflegear sells there Scar kit I think and they are out of stock but I'm wondering about the ACR stock. Riflegear sells a CA compliant enhanced ACR but I'm not going to pay 2800 for it when I can get one on gunbroker for 2100 they must have a way of doing it.
Just getting ready to buy a few rifles since I'm selling a vehicle I don't need anymore and I'm going to blow all the money on rifles. The prices on these are coming down NSR500 post about the bushmaster 2011 catalog sparked my interest now I'm debating between an ACR or Scar. I'm probably going to wait until after I see what's posted about the shot show the only thing for certain is I'm getting an MWS and a Krebs KTR-08.Comment

Got a couple ACR's today, one black enhanced, and one black basic. I'll know how they pinned it tomorrow, when I dissect. Basic is $2100 and the Enhanced is $2470alamojewelryandloan.com

Well I called DDs Ranch and ordered their stock lock kit for the ACR Enhanced stock. Their stock lock kit is pretty much a little plastic dowel that replaces the buttstock button spring. Their stock lock kit costs $5 and shipping is like $6.95 = $11.95
Edit: I've talked to Left Coast Tactical and they do not have the stock lock kit. I also called Riflegear and they said that their gunsmith pins the stock but they don't know how it's done. I didn't want to take my buttstock to the gunsmith at Riflegear because I wanted do it myself so I know how it's done incase I want to remove it. I noticed DD's Ranch sells ACR Enhanced rifles so I sent them a PM asking to purchase the stock lock kit from them. They were happy to sell the kit. I messaged other vendors but never received a response back from them.Last edited by ir0nclash86; 01-11-2011, 10:35 PM.sigpic

Take pictures of the kit when it comes in. I'm interested to see how they are doing it.Comment

I already installed it in. For me it was a pain in the *ss to install because I lack the proper tools. I had to use a thin knife to take out the button and pretty much scratched it up. I'm trying to unistall it and take pictures of how to install it for you guys but this button is kicking my *ss.
Edit: Finally unistalled it. Let me take some pictures on installation and I'll upload it tonight.Last edited by ir0nclash86; 03-28-2011, 3:22 PM.sigpic

Step 1
Brace the stock down and remove the folding stock hinge pin with a hammer and punch. I used an allen wrench instead of a punch.
After you remove the hinge pin, attempt to fold the stock and the stock will seperate into two pieces. Remove the hinge spring as well. You won't be needing it anymore.
Step 2:
Flip the stock over so you're viewing the right side. You'll notice a small rectangular hole and inside you'll see a small tab. I outlined the tab in red in the picture.
Place the stock on your lap and stick something thin enough to fit into the hole and depress the tab inward until the button falls out. I used nail clippers.
This is the stock button and spring when it is removed. Outlined in red is the small tab that is depressed inward. You won't be needing this spring anymore either.

Step 3
Take your stock lock pin and place it inside where the spring used to be. Place the stock button back into the stock and press until you hear it click into place
Step 4
Take the small stock piece and place align it ontop of buttstock so the hinges line up.
Grab a hammer and lightly tap the top until the two stock pieces press back into place.
Step 5
Brace the stock and hammer the stock hinge pin back into place. That's it you're done!

my idea is similar but i was thinking of drilling the button, inserting a metal sleeve (like a helicoil), and inserting an Allen screw in it. when you have the screw screwed in the stock will not fold and when you back the screw out the stock will fold. I might just do it your way so i don't damage anything.
thanksComment
