Any interest in quick detachable pistol grips?

Might make a batch if theres enough interest. Pull pin design to remove pistol grip from receiver.

    AR15 and AK variants

    Uses:
-Easy to detach to be able to put rifle in smaller cases (some are not tall enough to accept pistol gripped rifles.

-Easy to attach or detach. quicker than screws, just as stable (no play)

-Can be used with any current pistol grip that fits AK or AR15's.

It will slightly add to the height of the grip, maybe half an inch or so.

Aluminum, some sort of grey or black non gloss finish ideally.

If you put up a concept that might be more useful for us that can't visualize things.

but if you are going featureless you can just leave the pistol grip off that's pretty easy yeah?

Before 2000, I saw some guy selling quick detach AR pistol grips at a show. He said "You can have this on, and if a cop rolls up you can detach it instantly and toss it in the weeds!".

I said "They'll see you do that and they'll find it. You're still busted. Maybe if you put a self-inflating helium balloon in the grip's hollow space, you can trigger it when the cops show up and the evidence will float away."

Anyway, remind me why an OLL owner would want a detachable pistol grip again?

Hm. Well unless there was an easy way to take off the magazine lock I could not see myself using one.

With an AR I would rather just throw on a solar tac wrap then screw in a free-lock tool to use the standard release. (Assuming I had no other evil features) With an AK I would probably do the same, as items like the raddlock are not easy to remove on the go.

I would hope this products does not go the mag-magnet route; that is to say using it illegally and just take off the PG with the authorities show up.

That's hysterical, I would not recommend that at all though

I can see some people using it if they live or drive to the desert or have private land OR shtf ready to go. But anywhere else would probably be asking for it.

edit, also has legitimate uses. ie. going out of state or living near the state line, not having to buy a taller rifle case (the short cases wont accept pistol gripped guns).

i might be worried that any "nub" you have down there could be construed as a "handgrip allowing a pistol style grasp, with the web of the hand below the top of the trigger," or however that nonsensical stuff is worded...

Sounds like a fun idea but I'm concerned about the extra height added.
While we're here arguing about the latest high tech running shoes, there's some Kenyan out there running barefoot. Guess who's gonna win the marathon?

                              No need for this one.

But if you want to get rich, design and make mags that work in all AR10 platforms.
