    Eotech 512 question.

    Hey all,
I didn't get any responses in the optics forum, so I figured since this optic is mounted on my rifle I can post my question here right!

I recently bought an Eotech 512 for my AR. I love it, but I thought it would have the "F" stamp on the hood. The inspection sticker says "Inspected F-6/28/2010", so I assume that it left the factory less than a month ago. I emailed L3/Eotech but they have yet to give me an answer to my question. I just want to know if I paid full price for a non-rev F model. Thanks if anyone has had a similar experience!

Mine was marked the same way on the box and hood. I think these last runs are all like that. If it really bugs you, just call eotech. I've spoken to them over the phone before and they have always been helpful

the F marking on the hood is extremely small

Sure you're lookin in the right spot? If I remember correctly, it'll be on the left side of the hood, in the bottom right hand corner.

Yes I am positive I looked in the correct spot, my friend has an older one that has the F stamp. I will just give Eotech a call I haven't had the chance to yet, thanks for the input everyone!

I would think they aren't stamped anymore because the error was fixed and it is now standard.

What problems did revision F correct?

EOTech is not F stamping the current EOTech, they are not announcing the revision anymore since it cuz too much confusing and if your unit is mfg in 2010, you have the latest revision.

from a manufacturers standpoint this would make sense, after it is known all models that needed to be updated received one, no more marking is needed.
