Nikon M-223 One Piece Mount Review!

Ok, so I usually like to mount a RRA Scout Rail and Millet Angle Loc Low Rings on my scoped ARs. However, my new Burris Tactical 2-7x35mm scope won't fit because the zoom ring hits the back of the scout rail mount.

Well I had a Burris XTR14 30mm tubed scope on my 3 Gun rifle, but I found the reticle a little too busy and I wanted a little more magnification. I found the Burris PEPR 30mm mount was a pretty decent mount, but it is made in China and the two mounting bolts seemed ok. The extra rails on top of the rings made it a bit heavy.

I really wanted to get some more PEPR mounts, but they sell out too fast and I hesitated the other day and missed some. I saw four Nikon M-223 mounts pop up on my wishlist and grabbed them.

This mount is awesome. #1: Made in America!. #2: three solid bolts for mounting it to the rail. #3: excellent design for proper eye relief. #4: it is light and feels solid.

For anyone wanting to get a good one piece mount for only about $95 or less retail this is the way to go!

Can you measure and post the distance between the rings?

I'd add that they're SLIGHTLY lower than most unimounts. Maybe 1/4" lower than normal. Better for varmint rifles. Not so much for Multigun game rifle ( I like to be a little more heads up).

Very solid, yes. We just got a box of them on monday from a trade show in June... sold 8 in 3 days.

        4"s from ring to ring.

Great review! The Nikon M-223 mount will give the Burris AR-PEPR some competition. I can already smell Leupold coming up with their own version for their Mark AR scopes

What are they made of, steel or aluminum?

I think aluminum because it was awfully light.

I like that they have a 20 MOA incline. Just wonder can they hold up to a .308 recoil?

I don't see why not. For a .223 AR, it makes no sense to have a 20 MOA incline. However, I wasn't thinking out of the box like you and forgot you could put this sucker on just about any railed gun, like a .308.

How do you like your Coyote upper? I have one, but havent got a change to shoot it yet.

I was looking at the m-223 mount, but couldnt find it in 30mm. I ordered the Burris last week along with a Leatherwood CMR 1x4 scope. I liked the rails on the top of the rings. I may never use them, but I could always mount a flash light or something if I ever wanted to.

Everything should be here next week and my rifle will finally be complete!

That rifle is actually a customer's. I haven't had him call back and complain.

I like the Burris too. I just think the Nikon is a little nicer in the lighter and simplistic category.
