What is the best AK for the $$$ right now...?

Not necessarily a collector's piece, but the best fighting AK around...

Heard of Arsenal and etc...

But is $$$ was not an issue, what would you buy...? Of course CA compliant...

Off the rack... IF you can find a Pre-Ban Hungarian FEG SA85M Imported by Kassnar it is MUCH nicer than the Arsenal/Saigas. Only 2000 in Pistol Grip configuration made it into the country. They are all 100% Factory Hungarian AK-47s NO US made Compliance parts (Before 922r). They ocassionally come up for sale on Gunbroker but sell for around $1500.

The Yugo M70 is nice. A Saiga is a great deal. WASRs are cheap but not all of em are "good." But I agree with a few others, building one yourself, is probably the way to go..

Krebs customs is pretty well known as the King of top shelf AK's. I think Arsenal is right behind Krebs. Krebs specializes in custom guns so you wont see lots of them like you do Arsenal. I have read articles about Krebs guns and he gives you AR15 accuracy and some special Krebs features with his builds.

I only own one AK and it is a MAK90. Fit and finish is better than most, trigger is excellent and it is fairly accurate.

Milled Bulgarian or a MAK90 built on a parts kit. Chinese AKs are very robust and the quality of the parts is always top notch. Also, the chinese triggers are some of the best I've ever had.
