    Are they the same ?

    A compensator and a flash suppressor? I picked up a Hi point 995TS and was looking at the accessories. One is a compensator which I thing looks cool. Are they legal in Komifornia?

      Technically, maybe.

      Legally, it's an open question.

      The 'assault weapon' law thinks a flash suppressor is a Bad Thing. But there is no definition in law or regulation.
