Arsenal AKs

Hello,

I am a fan of the manufacturing process of the arsenal AKs as opposed to the WASRs and other variants, but I am having some trouble finding an arsenal AK that can be shipped to this state. I have found one on atlantic firearms, but that website appears to be quite cheesy and I am not sure if it is legitimate or not since I don't know anyone who has had any dealings with them. I was wondering if any of you folks had any experience with that company or possibly knew of a place that would ship an AK to California. Any help is much appreciated. Thank you.

Atlantic? Cheesy are you sure? I thnk they're a vendor/sponsor here, and they readily ship to CA. Don't know if they could ship Arsenals, you'd have to ask them. I haven't bought anything from Atlantic, but they are also on this forum , and seem pretty legit.

Well, I had heard that arsenal won't ship to California, but for like 75$ you can have a bullet button installed on the arsenal AK they offer which should make it shippable here, since it comes with only a 10 round mag. I was just wondering if anyone out there had any experience with them. Thank you for your reply, I was not aware that they were a sponsor here.

Atlantic won't ship Arsenal rifles to CA no matter what, it is an agreement with Arsenal and many other dealers.

I found a seller on gunbroker who is selling an Arsenal SGL 21-61 Ak-47 (not on the dreaded ban list for CA) and the auction says that they ship legal firearms to CA. Try sending the seller a msg asking if they are willing to remove the pistol grip and include it detached in the rifle if you buy it. If the pistol grip is removed, then the gun is CA legal, and when you put a BB or radlock on the gun, then you can reattach the pistol grip. The gun comes with a 5 round magazine, so Hi Caps are not an issue. The auction is here

Henderson Defense has some SGL-21's with the warsaw length stock, the only thing is on their site they have it listed as a "SLG" which is on the ban list

other than that I know theres a couple other "middleman" dealers that will ship them here with a bullet button

I'm getting some money together to get a couple SGL-21's as a christmas present to myself

The only way you can purchase an Arsenal AK from atlantic is to have it shipped to a middle man, they Californialize it and send it on to your FFL here in CA.

I purchased my SGL-21 from atlantic during that huge sale earlier this year, paid 521 shipped to Quentin Lasers in AZ. They installed bullet button and shipped it on to my FFL here in CA, that cost about 40 dollars, not including the bullet button.

Its a long process, but the 8 day wait was worth it.

As some have stated before you might need a middleman depending on who you go with. But atlantic is legit. I have ordered through them without any issues.

I got mine from Lanworld 2 months ago. Good price too. If they don't have it on their website, you can special order it.

We are a distributor direct for Arsenal & K-Var they will not let us ship any Arsenal AK rifles to CA . Yes we are a legitimate firm and would ask why you think the web site is cheesy ?

To ship an AK to Cali the only thing that needs to be done is pull the pistol grip. Put your own maglock on when it gets there and save the extra "Comifornia Fees" that most shops build into your price.
