    Marlin 1894 question

Does anyone know where I can purchase a stock set like this (in photo below) for my Marlin 1894 (.44mag)?

Also I wanted to mount a pistol scope on it for faster target acquisition like this (link below) but the eye relief says 18'' and with the scope mount I'm getting it puts it NO WHERE near 18'' away from my eye. Will I be able to see through the scope with a closer eye relief with it mounted closer to my face with a proper cheekweld?

Anyone have experience with this scope mount?

The XS rail is the one that comes on the Marlin SBL. The one I had on mine seemed rock solid, but I never mounted anything to it to know for sure.

ETA: Also I'm pretty sure the guy who made pugsli (the name of the pictured rifle) made the stocks. I would guess he used bedliner and'or possibly some marine-tex. The texturing is really easy to do with Marine-Tex or something similar.

Have you read the write up on ARFCOM about this rifle or did you just find the picture?

I would try either Wild West Guns out of Alaska (I'm 90% certain you'll find it or similar but I think it's very pricey) or Jim Brockman out of ID for the stocks. You might also check out Ram Line as that might be one of theirs.
I think Thor's hammer was an 45-70 lever action loaded with Garrett cartridges.

I find that 90% of the questions asked here have been answered 20 or more years ago by Jeff in hid Gargantuan Gunsite Gossip books.

          and here

I tried to locate the original posting but its coming up as an archived link that I don't have access to.

I did find a brief posting elsewhere that said the stock was indeed marine-tex'd and then duracoating.

Ram-Line is the only producer I know of synthetic stocks that would fit.
