    AR for my kimber

I have a brand new custom 2 and my buddy has 2 ARs, hes selling 1 that he put 2k into and hes sellin it for 1400. I payed 1100 for my kimber after tax and he said that he woud trade me his 2k AR
for the kimber and 300 bucks.

The AR has an essential arms lower, lmt upper,5.56 1.7 barrell or somethin like that the barrell is good and can shoot any type of 5.56 ammo he said. It has a sig red dot on it,magpul bolt release, extended charging handle, vltor collapsible stock, magpul mag, magpul front grip, daniel defense quad rail, and surefire flashlight worth 400 bucks, activated by a button on the front grip. I think thats most of the sh1t it has.

So should I trade my brand new kimber for a nice ar with only about 500 rounds through it? here it is

I wanted to invent an engine that could run for ever. I could have developed a new train, had I stayed in the railway. It would have looked like the AK-47 though. MIKHAIL KALASHNIKOV

I would look up all the parts he has on his AR and see how much it would cost to build. Prices have fallen compared to 1yr ago

    if it's cheaper then no

Sounds like a good deal if the surefire and aimpoint are included with it. You can always sell off the flashlight and optics and be well on your way to a new kimber.

If everything in the pic is included I say why not.

The surefire can be activated on the front grip for aslong as you hold it down on the grip, or you can keep it on permanently by pushin the button on the back of the surefire. Everything in the pic comes with it, the sig sauer red is really nice to.

The Surefire is probably the higher value item out of that group... but looking at the parts, I won't. You're trading your brand new Kimber + $300. You can build a better AR then what's there for less.

I'd say offer him a straight trade or maybe your Kimber+$100. Anything more than that is borderline.

You can find the Vltor stocks with buffer tube etc. for under $150 new, lower for $100, LPK for $55, complete upper with rails for $500-550, Surefire scout light like that one for $150, Tangodown VFG for $50, and the Sig red-dot for CHEAP.

You could probably build that whole gun for $1000-$1100. Thats why I say maybe offer him the extra $100 for the trouble of building it (but thats also kind of the fun part).

Also, Primary Arms sells a red-dot that is the exact same unit as the Sig model. Its a decent (but cheap, nowhere near Aimpoint or EOTech quality) red dot made in China. Primary Arms sells them for much cheaper than Sig.

I'd say keep the Kimber and save up to build an AR that will fit your budget. It's an even trade and the Surefire is not all that. There are brighter flashlights out there for the money. Now if the zombies were coming tomorrow then I'd say, "How do you want the $300?"

Hell yes you should do it, but I should warn you that BRD is very contagious and dangerous to your wallet.

Keep the Kimber. You can build a same, if not better AR for cheaper. If the trade was straight with no cash I say do the trade.

                            keep the kimber.

building an AR is half the fun. don't let an offer like this rob you of that pleasure.

I've never seen two people who have the exact same tastes in ARs so you will end up wishing you had some other parts on yours. just save up money and do it right yourself.

plus this deal doesnt seem like one you cant refuse.
