It's on my short list of carbines to get. I just don't know which caliber to get. I have several grandfathered hicap Beretta 92 mags that I can use for the 9mm version.

But, I'd like to get one in a larger caliber. Most of my carbines are chambered on 9mm. It'll be nice to have another .40 carbine or finally get a .45 carbine. Leaning towards a .45, but if there a good deal on a 9mm or .40 I'll snatch them up.

I have a cool unique bullet button design already figured out for it.

FYI IIRC it's the upper that is the registered part of the CX Storm.

If the lower isn't the registered part. You can probably have the lower trigger group/stock shipped directly to you to install a BB, fill in the thumbhole, and the stock spacer installed.

Then send the trigger group/stock sent back to the out of state FFL to send the CA compliant CX Storm to you CA FFL.

Redhorse, do share your idea about the bullet button. If interested we could meet up sometime if you'd need to get hands on the carbine to test out your idea. At this moment I'll take a BB over the slab of devcon I have in the stock.

I looked at mine last night, the mag release is a single piece, two thumb pads attached together by a bar going from one side to the other http://www.midwayusa.com/viewProduct...tNumber=250939. it has a whole down the middle where the spring goes though. the spring is a wire flat type. http://www.houtsenterprises.com/cx4_partslist.html part number 55
