im all for trying to save money on parts but unless this is a rimfire only gun i would stay with a metal LPK. i think a standard LPK will last longer and give a better trigger pull in the long run.A SWAT Monkey is a powerful psychological tool. Probably fine, but is the cost savings worth the risks? This is the rifle I am going to be putting my cheek on and handing to my wife and friends and one day my children.

Just got a DPMS LPK for a decent price. Im planning on building an extra complete lower as a beater rifle or most likely be ending up selling it later, who knows? Thats why cost was a factor. This budget lower will more than likely sit in my safe for quite sometime anyways. Thanks to all who posted their opinions.Comment
