Looking for feedback on this non-metal Lower Parts Kit from Plum Crazy Firearms

Clink on link above and scroll down to Product #3.

Anybody try one of these non-metallic FCG's in a metallic lower? Feedback would be appreciated. Thanks!

im all for trying to save money on parts but unless this is a rimfire only gun i would stay with a metal LPK. i think a standard LPK will last longer and give a better trigger pull in the long run.

I wouldn't use them for anything other than a rimfire build.

If your gonna go cheap on something, the lower receiver assembly isn't the part you really want to do it with.

I may trust the lowers but I wouldn't put my life on the line with a polymer fire control group. Small moving polymer parts = no go for me.

Probably fine, but is the cost savings worth the risks? This is the rifle I am going to be putting my cheek on and handing to my wife and friends and one day my children.

For me, I'll pay the extra $25 and get metal, thanks.

Just got a DPMS LPK for a decent price. Im planning on building an extra complete lower as a beater rifle or most likely be ending up selling it later, who knows? Thats why cost was a factor. This budget lower will more than likely sit in my safe for quite sometime anyways. Thanks to all who posted their opinions.

It would be interesting to use this stuff and see how light u can possibly make a functioning AR-15 rifle...

Try it out and report back with what "you" know and the rest of us will appreciate it.
I don't see a down side by trying it out.
I for one really like innovative equipment that works as advertised.
                          Go for it.

A buddy of mine just did this, actually. He has a complete "lightweight" rifle. He says it works but I don't want to be around when he fires it.

                            It really is amazingly light.

I will try to encourage him to stop lurking and come on over and give a report.

Did he use this polymer lower and LPK with something like the Bushmaster Carbon15 upper? Add a set of MBUS and I think that would be a damn light rifle. U could probably pass it off as airsoft LOL
