    A PSL story...

Okay so this is a little story after I picked up my PSL from jail.

Upon pickup from the 10 day jail sentence, I immediately use my Bushnell laser boresighter (the one that goes in the muzzle, not a chamber sight) and find that its off to the right quite a bit.
Concerned, of course I go to the Internet and read all the horror stories about PSL's with canted front sights, rear sight problems and various stories about how CUGIR manufactures these rifles with drugged out, violent chimps that use only rocks and dynamite for tools.
So my "buyers remorse" becomes pretty bad. I convince myself, after a few 40s of Olde English and Mad Dog 20/20 chasers, that I can live with it.
Then the light goes on. The "light" which tells you that you have been stupid... the same light that shines when you wake up next to that 280lb Wildebeest you swear looked just like Olivia Wilde before you drank all that Steel Reserve 211.
I buy myself a laser boresighter that fits IN THE CHAMBER. Guess what? All sights are perfect. Irons line up like the crack of Vida Guerra's butt and optics reticle is dead center.
Damn muzzle brake is a little off and it caused the Bushnell muzzle sight to deviate.
Moral of the story- dont give up on your rifle, use the right tools, calm down and think it through before you lose it.

I think you should just go out and shoot it and see what happens.

Mine (PSL) is back at century right now, due to canted sights, mounting rail and a slight trigger malfunction. That being said its still my favorite rifle

Wilco Tango Foxtrot? Those chimps must have been on a serious bender the day they built your PSL.

It still shot really well! I was willing to just live with it until it started shooting in bursts.

I wonder if a Tapco G2 FCG would fit? They work really well in my AK's... but you had a warranty issue and its not your problem to fix.

I like steel reserve. I also always thought it was funny/ironic/whatever how it shared the number for Armed Robbery, 211.

Please note that I am not condoning armed robbery in any way, thanks.

Somehow, it makes sense that on a California-specific gun forum, Steel Reserve might get discussed.

My PSL is the best and my favorite gun. You can fix the canted FS by taking a rubber hammer or taking it to a gun smith. I did the latter and it was just cosmetics though my windage is not to far to the right but not that bad. The PSL is a good rifle for what it is and I can know hit most of the gongs out to 250 yrds with at SLO. However after that, it gets erratic. Get a 8x PSOP and you are set for 100yrds and more. My PSL was a great shooter from the start...As I said in the past, I had a friend shooting a M700 SPS shorty and I told him spot my target as I was calling bulls at 100yrds. All three in bulls with two hold touching. Took a lot of effort but my PSL will ALWAYS be in my collection. Where are you located? Let's go shoot it one day. I am taking mine pig hunting later in the year for my birthday with a buddy of mine.
